Before the session
Before the online session, you'll first complete a short questionnaire to help guide our online sessions and ensure we understand the kind of support you're seeking. Before each session, we encourage you to find a quiet, distraction-free space and prepare a comforting cup of tea, coffee, or your preferred beverage. Please note that it is mandatory to fill the Terms & Conditions form before your session.

Arrival
When you join, you'll be welcomed into a calm quiet space.
The session will take place on zoom. There's no expectation to speak right away or to have your camera on - you can take a moment to settle in and simply be present.
We'll go over the terms and conditions for the session to make sure everyone is on the same page, but most importantly to ensure that we can all work together to create a space where everyone feels safe, respected, and free to be themselves.
Opening the space
The session begins with a simple reflection or question to ease into the conversation. This is where your answers on your questionnaire comes in handy. Depending on the session you choose (which you will find on our SESSION OFFERINGS page).
This is not about having the "right" answer, just an invitation to notice what feels present for you.
The conversation
The conversation unfolds naturally. You are free to:
* share when you feel ready
* listen quietly
* or simply sit with your thoughts
There is no pressure to speak and no expectation to respond to others.
How the space is held
The space is gently facilitated to ensure it remains respectful, calm and supportive.
There is no advice-giving, analysis or pressure to "figure things out" - just listening and shared reflection.
You are always in control of what you share during the session. The idea is, for participants to reflect on the things being shared and notice how they might also been through something similar and share what helped them in said situation. Not particularly in a "you should do what I did" kind of way, but in a "this is what I did and what helped me" kind of way. Your job is to hold space for other participants and for yourself to be open to the idea that you are not at a brick wall. You might be surprised by how many people can relate to the things you would like to talk about!
Closing the session
Towards the end, there may be a quiet moment to reflect or share how you're feeling.
This session closes gently, without the need to summarise or take anything away.
Important note
The Inner Café is a reflective space for conversation and connection.
It is not a Therapy or Counselling service.
