Welcome to The Inner Café

The Inner Café is an online reflective space for conversation, connection and shared experiences. A space to share, be heard and explore different perspectives on matters that don't usually come up in your everyday conversations. A place for reflection and conversation. A calm environment, where you may find a perfect balance between deep and relaxed conversations, without judgement.

**Please note that this is not Therapy or Counselling**

The Inner Café provides a space for conversation and shared reflection.

It is not a substitute for therapy, counselling or professional mental health support. If you are experiencing distress, please seek support from a qualified professional.

If you are in immediate distress, please contact your GP or NHS 111, or call emergency services.

A different kind of conversation space

At The Inner Café, our space is not for solving problems or giving advice. Instead, we create an environment where you can comfortably sit with your thoughts and feelings, without any rush to change them. Conversations are gently facilitated, never analysed or worked through, and we never define what things mean for you. We hold the space; we don't define it.

This is a space for those who find traditional settings either too formal or too surface-level. The Inner Café offers depth without pressure an reflection without labels - a space for simple, human-to-human connection, where you might hear "me too" or "I've felt that". There's no rush to speak, no pressure to conclude and no "takeaway" required. Just calm, shared space for conversation and quiet understanding.

Each conversation space can accommodate a group of up to 8 participants. A small group allows a natural flow of conversation and ample time for everyone in the group to have a chance to participate. Although

Who might enjoy this space

The Inner Café is for people who enjoy thoughtful conversations and are open to hearing different perspectives in a relaxed small group setting.

Some people join because they enjoy conversations that go beyond everyday small talk, while others simply appreciate having a space to pause, listen and connect with others in real time.

Whether you prefer to speak regularly, listen quietly or simply observe the conversation, you're welcome to take part in whatever way feels comfortable for you.

The Inner Café is for those who find themselves thinking deeply and feeling a lot. It may resonate with people who often reflect on their experiences, who notice the details in conversations or who sometimes feel there is more to say than the there is space to say it.

Whether you are surrounded by others or spend much of your time alone, this space for anyone who values meaningful conversation and quiet connection.

I’m so glad I got the chance to join the Inner Café and e‑meet Anju. Our chat was so interesting that the whole hour just flew by without me even realizing it. It was actually my first time having a convo on such a cool topic that’s part of everyday life. Sharing our thoughts back and forth really opened my eyes and helped me see things in a new way.
Overall i had an amazing time and would like everyone to take advantage of Inner cafe. THANKS

What started off as a "what can I expect" or "let me try" thing, ended as being a "Good thing, I joined this session"...:)
The inner café and its wonderful host is a safe space where you can simply join with a full overloaded brain, have a chat, listen to others, find it amazingly interesting how you are not alone in the same kind of situation yet be able to share something that you feel is "meh" or "normal" but actually feels novel to others..and can help :)
It actually felt good to learn and to share...honestly, I'll join again...sometimes to share, sometimes to just have a break :)
Cheers and Keep rocking ♥️

I had a really comforting and meaningful conversation with Anju yesterday 🫶🏻
It felt like such a safe space to open up emotionally, speak honestly, and truly feel heard without judgment. I really appreciated the balanced approach of talking through both the pros and cons with thoughtful and reasonable guidance, while still being encouraged to simply feel and be myself.

It was such a lovely experience, and I’m genuinely grateful for the support and kindness shown throughout the conversation. Wishing you all the best with what you’re doing an amazing job. I’d absolutely love to have more sessions like this again in the future 💛

Had a session with Anju and other lovely people. Was so insightful and nice to have a conversation about some very deep topics with no judgement, just hearing experiences and learning from one another. Cannot wait to do this again and explore other topics!
